MPRE Dates and Schedule 2023
Are you ready to schedule your MPRE? The procedure for registering for the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE®) is lengthy. You must complete the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE®) registration process, schedule your exam date with Pearson VUE, and pay the exam fee all before the registration deadline. The NCBE does not accept late applications. Therefore, it's in your best interest to schedule your exam and pay the exam fee as soon as possible to secure your desired testing location and time.
Below, we have included detailed instructions on important dates, deadlines, fees, and instructions on how to schedule your MPRE appointment.
MPRE Exam Dates
Failing the MPRE is bad. Not taking the MPRE because you missed an application deadline is tragic. The table below lists the MPRE 2023 dates for registration deadlines and accommodation applications. Registration for the March 2023 MPRE opened Wednesday, August 31, 2022. Registration for the August and November 2023 MPRE is scheduled to open later in 2023.
|Test Administration||Recommended Date to Apply for Accommodations||Registration Deadline
|March 28 or 29, 2023||December 5, 2022||January 26, 2023|
|August 9 or 10, 2023||April 24, 2023||June 8, 2023
|November 2 or 3, 2023||July 24, 2023||September 12, 2023
How to Schedule, Reschedule, or Cancel Your MPRE Examination?
Note that the earlier you register for your MPRE, the more options you'll have for your exam location. Follow these steps to schedule your MPRE exam:
- Log into or create an NCBE Account
- Apply for MPRE test accommodations if necessary
- Select MPRE Registration and follow instructions to request authorization
- Receive an authorization to test email from Pearson VUE within 24 hours
- Search for available testing centers (MPRE is not administered at every Pearson VUE testing center)
- Schedule an appointment to test with Pearson VUE and pay the requisite fees
- Receive confirmation of your exam appointment and payment from Pearson VUE within 48 hours
If you don't receive an email confirmation from Pearson VUE within 24 hours, check your spam folder or contact NCBE MPRE Registration services. You can also contact Pearson VUE for questions concerning testing centers.
You can reschedule your MPRE date for a different testing facility and time but not for a different administration. You must reschedule your exam at least 48 hours in advance of your appointment by logging into your Pearson VUE account or calling 888-205-1855 and paying a $25 fee.
You may cancel your scheduled exam by calling 888-205-1855 or via your Pearson VUE account at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment time. You'll receive a refund of $75 but must pay a fee of $25. You cannot transfer your registration to another individual.
